Texas Ranger Association Foundation Appoints Executive Assistant “Because of our growth and more activities, we needed a full-time professional like Jessica,” said Steve Sikes, treasurer of the board of directors. “Jessica brings strong leadership, organizational and communications skills that will take the TRAF to the next level of our growth so we can continue to aid active and retired Texas Rangers and their families as well as the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum.” Shaw’s duties include responsibility for the foundation’s management, marketing communications, fundraising and special events coordination, including the organization’s annual Texas Ranger Reunion and annual gala which raises funds to benefit and enhance the lives of Texas Rangers and their families through scholarships, healthcare assistance and many other heartfelt projects. She comes to the Texas Ranger Association Foundation from Obsidian Capital Group, a marketing and technology company in Newport Beach, California. She served as director of marketing where she led and directed all media buying and directed marketing growth for International and domestic campaigns in numerous ventures ranging from online media to telemarketing. Prior to Obsidian Capital Group, she led the sales support efforts for Meguiars Auto Care Company in Irvine, California. She also has management experience from her tenure with Verizon Wireless. Shaw is a graduate of California State University – Fullerton where she earned a B.A. in Communications. She also earned her M.B.A. in Business Communications from Jones International University.
